This is the reference mpeg encoder from Berkeley. (need to get the links).
I love this encoder. It makes high quality small (smaller than CMPEG) mpegs.

I have made this enhancement:

Included support for PNG files as an input type.

Additional notes:

This is a source set. I've built and used it on Linux (Slakware libc5) and NT (VC++6).
It does NOT contain an executable. I need to translate the docs from postscript to something Windoze friendly.
