RailMan scans your region files for your rail lines.
- Open the RailMan dialog with the button.
- Check Draw Rail Lines to enable RailMan.
- Enter the coordinates of one piece of your rail. When started, RailMan will search all connecting rails from there.
- If you have a separate track (at least one non-rail block separating it from your other rail lines), enter it in the text editor.
- RailMan will immediately check to see if that block is a rail.
- Green check mark for found rail.
- Red circle for no rail found.
- Red background on the text if not a valid point
- Click
Rail Color
to choose a color other than red for your rail lines on the maps. - Press
Scan for Rail Lines
to begin searching your region files for rails.- Scanning is a multi-threaded background task, one thread per CPU, although it rarely goes above 150% because it is mostly I/O bound. (There is markedly faster throughput with an SSD).
- Buttons are disabled during the scan process.
- Summary stats are updated once per second during scan.
- When completed, the rail data will be applied to your MapWall.
- Check
Update Minecraft maps
to apply the rail data to your in-game maps.- The maps with changed data appear with a '*' after their filename in the resource list.
- Press undo to remove the rail data from your maps.
- Save the world to write the changes to disk. The next time you start Minecraft, the rail data will be on your maps.
